We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Developer to lead the design, development, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade B2B and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration solutions. In this role, you will architect secure data delivery workflows, onboard global trading partners, and ensure high-performance system configurations.
Core Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and implementation of complex B2B integration patterns using the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Suite (including Sterling File Gateway, Secure Proxy, and Control Center).
- Map Development: Design and build complex maps supporting multiple translation formats, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV, and flat files.
- Business Process Orchestration: Create, modify, and optimize business processes utilizing Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) and standard Sterling adapters.
- Protocol Management: Configure and troubleshoot secure communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, and HTTPS.
- System Migration: Orchestrate platform upgrades and data migrations from legacy Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems to modern cloud or hybrid Sterling architectures.
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate with business analysts to translate commercial logic into technical specs while mentoring junior developer teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (versions 5.2.6 or 6.x preferred).
- Database Engineering: Strong proficiency in database queries, indexing, and scripts across SQL Server, Oracle, or IBMi DB configurations.
- Data Languages: Intermediate to advanced familiarity with Java, J2EE, Web Services, REST APIs, and XSLT.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
Preferred "Nice-to-Have" Skills
- Experience aligning EDI transactions within Supply Chain Logistics or Healthcare frameworks (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
- Hands-on infrastructure familiarity with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX / ITXA).
- Prior experience deploying integrations in cloud hosting environments like AWS or Azure.
